Next iPhone Will Most Likely Be 4G LTE-Equipped

With the new iPad able to support 4G LTE network, sources are now saying that Apple will most likely adapt the same feature for the next iPhone. Digitimes is reporting that Apple’s next generation iPhone is “very likely” to support 4G LTE as well. The report also says that the next iPhone will be launched in the second half of 2012.
The report further states that the launch of the next iPhone with 4G LTE connectivity features together with the release of other LTE-equipped devices will drive sales of smartphones this year between 45 million to 50 million units. This was earlier predicted to be around 25 to 30 million units only.
Additionally, the report also said that the next iPhone will feature a faster processor and larger display than the current iPhone 4S. This is of course to be able to handle the faster 4G LTE network.
The question that remains to be answered is whether the 4G LTE smartphone will be able to support other LTE networks in other countries other than the U.S. As of this writing, the new iPad only supports 4G LTE networks of AT&T and Verizon.
