Right after Apple announced the new iPad, Apple also immediately made iOS 5.1 available for the iPad, iPod Touch and of course iPhone. If you have the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S, simply fire up software update and your device’s can be updated to the latest version of the software over-the-air. The update is a small file (thankfully) and your device will be running iOS 5.1 in a flash.
Right after you’ve downloaded and installed iOS 5.1 on your iPhone, you’ll enjoy the following new features:
Camera Enhancement – the camera shortcut will now be always visible from your device’s lock screen, camera face detection now highlights all and detected faces.
Photo Stream – thankfully, you can now delete photos from your iPhone’s photo stream
Siri – new Japanese language support for Siri
Other features of iOS 5.1 include – Genius Mixes and Genius playlists for iTunes Match subscribers, and fixes and issue that occasionally caused audio t drop for outgoing calls.
